Rtn Major Donor Dr PV Ravi & spouse Rtne Prema Ravi

Rtn. Major Donor P.V. Ravi was born on 15th February at Pollachi took his degree in Physics in the Year 1968 from Madras University. He took his MA in English from Sri Venkateswara University in the year 1978 and B.Ed from Mysore University in 1979. Ravi took his Doctorate from Bharathiar University in 1997.

He joined Rotary Movement as the Charter President of Rotary Club of Tiruppur North in the year 1984. He led his club in 1984-85, 1985-86 and 1998-99. He was also the Secretary of the club in two different terms.

At the District level Rtn. Ravi was GGR and District Chairman several times. He was the Chairman of “Vasantham”, the District Conference of the year 2007-08.

Rtn. Ravi has spent millions of Rupees for the Humanitarian & Educational Programmes of Rotary ever since he joined the Organization.

As a Rotarian he had adopted three villages, adopted a Govt. Primary Health Centre at Perumanallur and provided free Engineering Education worth Rs.60 lakhs per annum. He provided technical skilled education for 1000 unemployed youngsters in the villages of Palladam and Coimbatore Taluks, totally free of cost.

Rtn. Ravi was the pioneer in introducing the concept of self financing education in Tamilnadu as early as in 1982. His institutions have already produced 15 lakhs engineers, 7 lakhs diploma holders, 5 lakhs para medical graduates, 20 lakhs arts & science graduates and 5000 medical graduates. He has provided 1 lakh employment in the professional education sector with an annual turn over of Rs.5000 crores.

Rtn. Ravi was the founder secretary of Tiruppur Tamil Isai Sangam and held the position for 10 years. He was also the founder secretary of Tiruppur Tamil Sangam. He is the vice President of Consortium of Professional Educational Institutions, member secretary, Tiruppur Sports Organization, Syndicate Member, Bharathiar University, Member, board of Higher Sec. Exams, Tamil Nadu (1986-89), Member, Indian Society for Technical Education, Member, All India Management Association, New Delhi, Member, Indian Institute of Export Management, Calcutta, Member, Ancient Astronaut Society, USA etc. There are a number of publications to his credit. He was the vice Principal of Prema Mat.Hr. Sec. School, Tiruppur (1981-82) and at present the Senior Principal of the same institution. He is the founder of more than a dozen educational institutions and is the Managing Trustee, Managing Director or Chairman of several of them including Park Group of Institutions.

Rtn. Ravi is proficient in four languages, Tamil, English, Hindi & Sanskrit. and has visited USA, Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia & Australia.
