Post Subject: Detailed report about the charter function
CHARTER FUNCTION OF ROTARY CLUB OF TIRUPUR COTTON CITY
The first provisional club in our district RI 3202 in the year 2009-2010 got it’s charter on August 11 , 2009. The Charter presentation function was planned on September 20th, 2009. Since it was the first club chartered in year 2009-2010 under our DG Rtn.Dr.Sagadevan’s dynamic leadership, the mother club , our Tirupur Thirumuruganpoondi club , took eloborate steps to conduct the Charter presentation function in a meritorious , grand manner .
Though we are an year old baby only , and we have taken a very important, uphill task of sponsoring another new club within this period and also planning to sponsor more and more clubs , it’s a litmus test for us to prove that we could conduct the program in the proper , perfect way . So our club decided to give it’s fullest support in each and every area where the new club needed to make the function nice.
The invitation is the vital aspect where we can view the club’s strength . Then Charter Member certificate too . In both of this , our mohter club took exceptional care and aided our sponsored club with ideas . All the club members appreciated the invitation as well as the beautiful Charter member certificate.
The program started sharply at 7 pm . All the 31 members of the new club came with Family members except few . They all came in decent attire of dark grey COAT AND SUIT , the official colour of this year. Everybody surprised to see the uniformity they have followed . The AGENDA was well prepared already with consulation of DG to conduct the events smoothly.
After the parade of the Guests and dignitaries, Annet of Vice president of the new club initiated the function with a nice prayer. It followed Rotary prayer by an Ann of this club . Mother club secretary Rtn.TP Vivekanandan welcomed all with his gentle speech .
As expected , GSR of this new club , Rtn.VBMuruganandan explained in detail about the pains and efforts taken by Poondi Club , especially it’s members Rtn.Murugapandian , who laid the seed the for this new club and Secretary, GSR venkat , Rtn.Nataraj & Rtn.Samandam apart from him. The whole hall appreciated Rtn.Murugapandian for his Good gesture he did for Rotary. The he thanked Rtn.George Sundararaj of Dharapuram for his motivational events conducted especially for this club . Also Mrs. George Sundarraraj too, put her strain to motivate the Anns of this new club by visiting more than 3 times already. He assured the whole audience that the new club will do its best always and would become a leading club in Tirupur region without fail. He appreciated the greatest part executed by Charter Secretary Rtn.Adv.Rajendiran for his indomidable efforts to bring everything neat and perfect.
DG Sagadevan Installed the new president Rtn.O.K.Palanisamy as the Charter president , Rtn.Adv.Rajendiran as Charter Secretary and Rtn.Shanmugasundaram as Sergeant at arms then.
In his Chief Guest address, he felicitated all the new members fully. He admired at the new team for taking special efforts to bring the BULLETIN , ROTARY ID CARD also at the installation itself . He appreciated them adoption of the panchayat school and spent 20000 Rs already for the renovation work . He conveyed his heart felt thanks to Mother club TIRUPUR THIRUMURUGANPOONDI for the greatest service they did for Rotary .
The guest of Honour Rtn.PDG. Narayanasamy wondered to see the new club activities within charter function itself. He thanked Poondi Club for this unique achievement which helped Rotary to grow in Tirupur .
Rtn.PDG.Muruganathan and Rtn.DGN.Dr.Ravi too , impressed by the outcome of audience and the way the program was conducted. They felicitated the mother club for their great work.
The topmost aspect of this program was 500000 Rs donation to the Foundation by 10 of it’s new members. Yes… 10 Members agreed to become PHF at the Charter function itself which was the greatest achievement of this new club . GSR took enormous pain for more than 3 days to explain in detail how important it was to donate for the Foundation which really yielded the price it deserved.The whole mass appreciated this great deed of this new club.
Rtn.George Sundararaj and AG also felicitated the new members .
Rtn.Muruganpandian was invited to the stage and honoured with a golden Salvai by DG, GSR and Charter President of Cotton city. GSR Rtn.VBMuruganandan also felicitated with a nice salvai by DG for the good efforts he had taken for more than 5 months to motivate the new members .
DG, PDGs , DGN , AG , GGR Krishnamurthy , MC Rtn.G.V from Gandhinagar , DDT , District Secretary and others also felicited for their participation .
The program ended up with nice and neat dinner .
It will be remembered for years in Tirupur Rotary circle surely…. Thank God…!

Halo Rotarians
Rc of Tup Cotton City's club number arrived . It is 82666.
The club Photo ID work is going on for each member . It will be distributed in the function itself.
The also trying to follow up our way of presentation in the function.. ie.. to come in a uniform dress code.. Hope they will do it..!
The invitations will be posted shortly in the web.

The Charter Function of this new club will be held at Ramana's Hotel , Palladam Road on 20th September , 2009 , 6.30 to 8.30 pm , under the august presence of Rotary Luminaries DG Sagadevan as Chief Guest, PDGs Rtn.Muruganathan, Rtn.Narayanasamy and DGN Rtn.Ravi as Guest of Honours and other senior Rotarians.
We, the sponsor club, immensely request all other clubs to note down this important event and pls be present there to wish the new born .
The cluster of Tirpur Rotary is getting expanded with this new addition .... !
The have already conducted 3 Family Get together functions, Participated Seminars about Rotary , Adopted their club meeting venue ie Bharathi Nagar Governtment Middle School, Spent 20000 Rs for the renovation Work and so.
Their Bulletin Editor assured the club to bring their first Bulletin on Charter Function Day. Our best wishes for Rtn.Jeyaprakash, Bulletin Editor for his eagerness and enthusiasm ...!

A good news to all Rotary clubs of our District .. especially Tirupur clubs..!
The 14th club , “ Rotary club of Tirupur Cotton City “ received it’s charter certificate on August 11th, 2009. This was informed by our DG Dr.Sagadevan to us by mail and phone
today. Thanks for the congratulation message DG which you have sent.
“ Rotary club of Poondi “ is really much pleased by this good deed which RI insists to all clubs to do . We accomplished a deed which the society needs . Particularly Veerapandy area is one of the key area in Tirupur which really needed such an NGO for their social care and activities .
At this pleasant moment, as GSR of this newly launched club, I convey my heartiest thanks to our club Member Rtn.R.Muruganpandian, the real Hero, who sowed the seed for this new club initially.
Our club extends the wishes to Rtn.O.K.Palanisamy , the Charter President of this club , for the strong efforts he has taken to gather good hearted persons for the new club. Also we should thank Rtn.M.Rajendiran , Auditor , the Charter Secretary for his great dedication and involvement in the formation of this new club.
Very shortly , after consulting with DG and New club members , we will announce the CHARTER FUNCTION date to all the clubs … It’s our kind request to all to lend your hearts and hands always to bring them also in the Rotary stream of services…..!
